Hi, Janet, Just letting you know that the same thing happened to me about two weeks ago. I was using my phone and for no rhyme or reason, it just stopped talking. I finally called Apple Accessibility and they helped me get my phone talking again. It was rather scary and I hope this never happens again. They were very patient. I was on the phone for quite some time, but all my apps came back as well as my music. I don’t know if you have ever called them, but they are wonderful.
