Hi. I definitely like having Wi-fi Assist available, especially at work, where
Wi-fi access in my computer lab is really iffy. I took a look at Cellular under
Settings and was reminded that we can see our cellular data usage statistics
over a period of time and pinpoint those apps that seem to use the most
cellular data. At first glance, however, it doesn't seem to log whether some of
that usage accrual occurred when Wi-fi Assist was being used, which is okay, I
suppose. I don't know if it's feasible to make that distinction and log it in
the usage statistics. Speaking of statistics, there are two things that I'd
like to see in this area. First, I'd like to have the ability to sort the apps
alphabetically (which is the default) or sort them by usage, with the highest
usage at the top of the list. That way I can decide whether or not to restrict
usage of a particular app to Wi-fi only. Secondly, below this list of
statistics is a Reset All Statistics button, which resets everything to 0. I
was somewhat surprised to find that I hadn't reset my usage statistics since
last February; I just simply forget to do it at the beginning of every bill
cycle. So, for those of us who aren't particularly diligent about doing a
regular reset, it might be nice to be able to have the phone do it
automatically after a specified interval, say, every 30 or 31 days, whatever
corresponds to the typical bill cycle. Since these suggestions don't fall into
the realm of accessibility, who would I write to at Apple to offer these
suggestions? Or are these suggestions already implemented and I'm just not
aware?
Thanks,
Tom
