I was having similar BSOD issues with my OpenSUSE 42.1 KVM setup and Windows 8.1 guest when installing any Radeon driver (not just crimson) until I came across this post back in December. https://www.redhat.com/archives/vfio-users/2015-December/msg00211.html Try removing <vmport state='off'/> inside the <features> element using `sudo virsh edit <vm name here>` for your VM. My platform for reference: HOST Core i5 2500 w/ HD2000 Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H w/ bios F14 OpenSUSE 42.1 kernel 4.1.12-1, booting with UEFI OpenSUSE KVM pattern (via YaST): -libvirt 1.2.18.1 -virt-manager 1.2.1 -QEMU 2.3.1 GUEST Windows 8.1 booting with OVMF (Gerd Hoffmann repo) Radeon HD7750 via vfio-pci All other settings per Alex's blog plus VirtIO SCSI for the disk http://vfio.blogspot.com/2015/05/vfio-gpu-how-to-series-part-4-our-first.html Regards, Joseph
