No. What he wants is to be able to consistently send his email without
problems, and he THINKS that the best way to do it is to allow relay
based on sender address.

I believe that most maier programs can be setup to pick up email
immediately
uppon connect. If you can get outlook to do this, then his subsequent 
send will work properly and his problem will be solved.. I don't use
outlook, s
o I can't comment on this process directly.   

Does anybody out there know how to get outlook to do a retrieve-before
send?
Given that many SMTP servers do authentication via pop, I figure that
outlook
should know how to manage this.
