developed support packages for the E312 and E310. I have used the
support package for E310. I don’t know about the N series of
radios. I am not using those. There is no functional over-reach on
Mathworks’ part.

Yes, I understand that you can use Matlab to develop signal flows for
various Ettus products. But I wasn't aware that those
packages included "program an SD card with a proper system image"
functionality.

Not sure why MatLab would understand how to program an SD card
with an N310 system image. But maybe MatLab suffers
from "wild functional over-reach". I dunno.

After this happened, the RJ45 connection with the USRP

down, even after rebooting the USRP.
When I tried executing uhd_image_loader again I received

only supports a single device.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find a lot of information
about these errors online or in this mailing list. I’d be
happy to hear any input about both of these errors.

Well, I guess the first thing to do is to run a factory system
image on the device and make sure that it is sane--just program
an uSD card with the factory image and run that to make sure
it is sane.
