Dear all:

This might be a common problem to many of you but I can’t solve it on my own.

The machine is Dell desktop acquired in recent year, OS is uBuntu 14.04.04 ith 
XCHI enabled kernel.
The USRP B210 is literally attached to the USB 3.0 port with a proper cable, 
but was immediately recognized as a USB 2.0 device based on 
dmesg/lsusb/uhd_usrp_probe messages.

Various tweaking and switching tricks are in vain.  Computer was changed, BIOS 
was checked.  Whether to install UHD driver is proven irrelevant.  There’s even 
no legacy options to turn off in the BIOS.

Expecting any expert to direct us out of this mist.  Regards,
