I now have both Tomcat 9.0.110 and VisualVM installed on my desktop Mac, and with some help from Google, I've managed to get them talking to each other (via JMX).

But I don't see anything about browsing mbeans-descriptors.xml files. And up until this morning, I'd never heard of VisualVM, any more than I'd heard of JMX or JMXterm until a few days ago.

So now what?
