You don't need to provide your own /datatableModel /nor the /hitThisMethod/ method For the dataSource, you can take your inspiration from the jumpstart demo site : http://jumpstart.doublenegative.com.au/jumpstart/examples/tables/griddatasources (the /prepare()/ method should process a database request).
