I don't believe this comment was intended as any sort of personal attack, so
there's no need to interpret it as one.
There are in fact people who don't go around doing that sort of thing as a
matter of course.
The point I believe Michael was making is simply that several people here do
not like your rudeness, in much the same way as you appear not to like
people's ignorance when they ask questions.
Your expertise is valued, but your attitude for conveying it is not.
We (I get the impression there are several people here of a similar opinion)
are simply asking you to be more polite and pleasant to people in your
communications. It is simply good manners, especially in a public forum.
