Unfortunately, speed and accuracy are the primary considerations here.
If you can come up with something that is reasonably accurate and can
run on a 300KB image in less than 1 second, then it may be useable.

Whether it is needed or not is another question entirely...  I haven't
seen much spam with attached X-rated pictures.  Usually they just have
links to the sites and occasional IMG tags with links to remote
pictures.
