I've been seeing this for about 9 months now. I'm now getting multiple attempts against a few thousand message IDs, from messages I've sent, every day now. I've only noticed message IDs from Thunderbird though. I guess other clients' message IDs don't fit their regex.
One or more of those would make a great spamtrap.
