Your right the WhiteList problem does seem to be Horde. But why would the AWL value of gone so high suddenly? Is slowly dropping but still at 19. Thanks for your help.

However, I have absolutely zero knowledge about horde, I only know SpamAssassin and MailScanner. Really, I'd suggest getting in touch with the admin of your mailserver and ask them why the whitelists aren't working. And the reason is the high AWL value apparently. Yes, sounds like somehow your wife managed to send a message with a very high score, and that got averaged in. A long time ago SA's AWL would average in GTUBE scores, and this problem was rather common after someone did a "test message" using GTUBE. However, that's fixed in recent versions of SA. Really, since you're only using SpamAssassin indirectly, I don't think most people here will be able to give you a whole lot of useful advice. This list is mostly mail system admins and people who are actually in full control of their spamassassin setup. While we can help you by explaining how things work, most of our fixes for problems involve adjusting config files or installing new software packages.
