On my machine the log files had dates in 2025. I use XFCE DM for 
both local and VNC and the work fine with TurboVNC. Know with 
previous VNC if you had Wayland or some of the Gnome Options, 
you could either connect locally or with VNC, but could do both. I 
opted for XFCE with both. Not clear if TurboVNC is using its own 
X11, or the systems.  I VNC into 3 other machines locally, and to 7 
other machines in Guam with no problems.
