Virgin Framework 12. Installed windows 11 (with upgrades) no problem. Did a shrink volume.

Installed Fedora 42 from thumb drive. Install and subsequent upgrade
went OK, except for problems with SELinux (my fault). Re-installed
several times, eventually getting things straight.

At some point in the re-install process the Windows 11 entry vanished from the boot menu.

Windows is there somewhere. Anyone know how to get is back?

Windows doesn't like to be booted from grub.  You need to use the BIOS boot menu to switch.

Hi Samuel,
Just for info, Windows boots quit happily from grub in both an EFI environment and a legacy environment, I've been using Grub to select booting into Windows, Fedora and Ubuntu for years, with osprober setting up a definition for Windows that enabled it to boot.

It used to be fine.  But if windows is using the TPM, then the calculation will be wrong if you boot it from grub and it will fail to boot or bitlocker won't unlock the drive.  So the option has been removed from grub.
That is interesting, on my machine, unless I've misinterpreted things, on my motherboard Windows 11 is using a TPM for its secure boot database, and I have to update its database to get Fedora to work in an nvidia environment, and Windows works quit happily booted from grub.

regards,
