Legacy filesystems may not be the best option for an SSD -- a fresh
install using btrfs may be beneficial.

Without understanding key issues:

1) How expensive is downtime when you have to replace the SSD and
restore backups?

2) How complex is the software configuration? Does it rely on older
versions
and/or lots of 3rd party packages making configuration a lengthy task?

3) Is the data mostly static or is there lots of churn?
