Movies talk to me now.

I found some mp3 files that firefox will play,
but aplay just generates noise.
From what I've read, aplay fred.mp3 should work.
I get noise.
I've tried -f MPEG , but that does not work either.
For me, this is mostly curiosity.
This is the first I've used aplay in a rather long time.
