Oh, strangely?, I found that on one system the directory was ~/.pulse while another has a set of files in ~/.config/pulse I suppose the difference may be that the ~/.pulse system has been upgraded since about F22 while the other system is a fresh F27 install -- Conjecture is just a conclusion based on incomplete information. It isn't a fact.
