OK. I just find it odd that you had troubles. I installed from the fedora repositories and added python3-devel and gstreamer1-libav to quiet a couple fo warning messages on start from the command line. Also have the following gstreamer1 packages installed python3-gstreamer1-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 gstreamer1-libav-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 gstreamer1-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 gstreamer1-plugins-ugly-free-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 gstreamer1-plugins-base-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 libnice-gstreamer1-0.1.13-8.fc26.x86_64 gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free-gtk-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 gstreamer1-plugins-good-1.12.2-1.fc26.x86_64 And I can work with egreshko@acer ~]$ file Black.mp4 Black.mp4: MPEG transport stream data and [egreshko@acer Downloads]$ file Line.mp4 Line.mp4: ISO Media, MP4 Base Media v1 [IS0 14496-12:2003] Without trouble.
