I have seen various configurations in both the ActiveMQ website and mailing
list posts, alternatively using the <kahaPersistenceAdapter> and <kahaDB>
elements in the xml configuration.

Are the two syntaxes equivalent, or do they select different
implementations/configurations? in case what are the
advantages/disadvantages in terms of performance and reliability of the two
approaches?

Thanks in advance for your time and answers,
Carlo
