Dear Mr Mathew Brown, thanks for the input. I am not familiar with ssh sessions, yet. I solved the problem. As you said in b) topic, my host x server had the "accept tcp connection" flag turned off. I just turned it on. Now i can use uml with graphic interface. I use xnest to confine the entire graphic virtual console inside a host window.
One problem the i am facing is the low performance. With browsers and text editor everything is fine. But, when i start an ethereal live package capture session the things begin to deteriorate. It arrives at a point that the xnest window must be close by me. The window manager and all the gui components stops to answer. I must do some research to find out what is going wrong. I am using the icewm window manager. Is there any member of the list who had tried something like that ? Xnest + ligth wndow manager + ethereal works fine for everybody ? Anyway, thanks Mr Brown.
