In the host side of tap device the mac address seems to be random but it seems like in guest side the mac address is derived from first given ip-address and when using dhcp it's always 0.0.0.0 which causes it to be fe:fd:00:00:00:00. The problem is that I can't seem to be able to change the mac address to different when using dhcp. > Anyway, try: > > guestkernel ... eth0=tuntap,,fe:fd:00:00:00:01, > > because as you point out, you don't need the address at the end > because you're using DHCP. Thanks, that helped me. Interesting thing is that after giving also the mac address I could alse change it in guest. Could there be a bug related to mac address?
