One could be fairly bi*chy and say that, as the Mac system can pick up when the SHIFTkey is UP or DOWN there has been a bit of an oversight on the behalf of Metacard - Runtime Revolution (i.e. somewhere down the evolutionary line), which nobody has seen fit to sort out.
Of course, to be fair, it is possible it has not been sorted out because it may
