Hi, Smaller icons is indeed a good thing to have. But my main request is about being able to go from one category to another by mouse-hovering . No clicking, no typing. As i said : i can be just a menu that appears when right-clicking on the desktop. But frankly my impression is that this is basically stubbornness . Some kind of "we know what's better , so the users will have to adapt". It's an attitude that in future can lead to "voice recognition is cool this year ; we won't support ancient input devices like keyboards ; the users will have to adapt and dictate". -- Adrian >> Date: Wed, 22 Feb 2012 16:39:36 +0200 >> From: syra...@gmail.com >> To: unity-design@lists.launchpad.net >> Subject: [Unity-design] Some impressions about the current status of Unity > >> >> Hello people, >> >> Today I've been curious to see what is the current status of Unity >> compared to the version shipped last year with 11.04. >> So i've installed the Ubuntu daily beta 12.04 in a virtual machine . >> >> >> The main thing I would like to comment about is : navigation around >> the available applications . >> >> I have chosen a simple task : " let's see what games are installed >> " .
