Rabit I had the same thing with using the 3.8 kernels, could go several days without an issue but then had 2 freezes in the space of a couple of hours.
I have had to go back to windows 7 for now but i keep subscribed to this thread in the hope that this bug finally gets resolved but it seems like it will be a while if ever.
