I'm on natty too, with the latest updates and the problem still exists. It happens even when I choose 'Ubuntu Classic' or 'Ubuntu (Safe Mode)' on login (see screenshot in attachment). Usually, at first the right dark theme is shown but after a few seconds it falls back to the ugly grey one.
