Hello, With some embarrasment I must confess that this particular problem was seemingly solved some time ago by a to-me-unknown-at-the-moment Ubuntu update for 10.10. I have for some time now have had no visible display signs of the settings being incorrect.
I did run 'apport-collect 621756' and have sent the report within the application. I do force the vesa driver as this is sufficient for my purposes and I did not want to bother with MGA drivers. Attached is xorg.log. Thank you and others for their efforts on my behalf. I must say I am so glad to have left Windows (to 90%) behind me for Ubuntu. If I should add to the problem report in launchpad please let me know. Regards, Christopher Keller On 03/27/2011 12:24 PM, Tormod Volden wrote: > Thanks for your report.
