We're an open source team, and as such I strongly believe in having open communications, which includes not excluding new and returning team members from past conversations, meetings, and plans. I've also found it valuable to look back at old conversations related to planning for SCALE to remember what we did right/wrong so we can improve our presence every year, and to jog my memory around who to reach out to for UbuCon speakers and booth volunteers. And just to step back to speak to IRC, it is still the core chat communication method for meetings and work done on Ubuntu itself. I understand we're working to expand beyond the Usual Suspects, but in the context of Ubuntu, it is definitely still used. It's very easy to join via web browser if you're just seeking to come to our meetings, Nathan even includes a link to access it via a web browser for every meeting, so you don't need to install any software, figure out servers, or anything difficult really to join us. -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2 -- Ubuntu-us-ca mailing list Ubuntu-us-ca@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-ca
