Found at long last. In addition the Apply button did come up. Maybe I
thought I select items for installation, but didn't

I always did prefer Dos to Windows and I am finding I prefer the
terminal emulator to the graphical interface, largely because everything
stays the same and you know exactly the outcome of typing a command.
Secretly I like programming, but hate tinkering with the innards of a
machine

However, thanks for all your efforts. In future I shall try to
