Let me know your postal address via email and I'll send you a second
hand 500GB Western Digital USB attached hard drive in an enclosure
today. Model number WD5000D032. It was sat in a drawer doing nothing,
so I powered it up and formatted it. Self test shows there's nothing
wrong with it.

I have no need for it.

Cheers,
After the way you spoke to me last time Alan, I'd rather run over my
hard drive with my car! Rude was not the word.

Gareth,

You've shown people no grace or manners in their attempts to help you in
this issue, even though reading that log you posted of your interactions
with Packard Bell you come off worse showing unhelpfulness and rudeness.

Alan Bell has offered to give you a harddrive for free, and to keep to
help you get out of this issue. You could at least show some manners by
saying thank you!

Laura

Laura, had Alan Bell made such an offer I would have graciously turned it down as I can get by without a donated drive. However it was Alan Pope who made the offer and the last conversation I had with him was enough to put me off returning to the IRC chat rooms. All I'd said was hello, and busy in here isn't it? And that was enough to have insults hurled at me. He's not in my good books and not someone I wish to be conversing with. Can we just leave it all there please.
