>From your reply it seems the first RAM module or PSU may be faulty. Last year i had a similar problem with my system. I did memtests, cpuburndown tests etc. None of the logs gave any clue about what was going on . Then in one of the forums i found that somebody got around the problem by disabling Nvideo proprietary drivers. I did the same and it worked. I don't know whether your problem is the same, but after that fix my computer never froze or crashed (touch wood).
