I don't think the point is 'vista sucks make them all use ubuntu', it is
more awareness. I know several people who are very reluctant to be
making the switch, but as far as they're concerned, there is know
alternative. I think the way forward is to show them the alternative,
tell them the advantages and let them decide what they want - vista or
ubuntu.
Hard choice there... ;)
The idea has a lot of potential - it is something we can capitalise on
and if we are going to do it, now is a good time. I like the  'you don't
have to' thing as well, as I think that is exactly the message we should
be trying to get across. Newspapers would definitely be a good idea,
maybe the Ubuntu Demo day in Swindon could be photographed and someone
could contact a newspaper? MPs, in my opinion, are worth a go, but
usually don't make as much difference as people think they do (don't
quote me on that one, it's just from what I have heard.) Again, the Demo
day in Swindon would have been a good chance to invite one along, but it
is too late now.
