Thanks! Yes, it is an Allen&Heath. The query was more if there were any ideas if there was some new behavior or setting in Studio Controls.
This mixer worked by just plugging in the USB in previous revs of UbuntuStudio and Studio Controls. Though this is a different PC. I had tinkered with it for some time before posting, that's how I determined it only worked with specific steps. No matter, it is an additional step or two to get working, but, that is not a show stopper.
