Dear Ubuntu developers: from the following site http://www.xobas.net/installation_4GL_1_0_6_ubuntu_dapper.html it indicate, there is deb package precompiled binary of pathan (probably 2). libpathan_2.0-1+dbxml228dapper1_i386.deb
