Hi Christian,

  Thank you for the hint.
I identified the problematic device as a "game-pad", so it's not a bit loss to
have to disconnect that.

My mouse and printer does not cause problems.
So now I can suspend doing pm-suspend.

Unfortunately, the system does not wake up to a usable state afterwards:
there is no display on the screen after the resume (black screen, also
on ttys).

In the attachment, I attach my /var/log/pm-suspend.log.

It shows that I did a pm-suspend at 17:46:29, which completed at 31 17:46:31.
Then I woke it up at 17:47:45, and it claims to be up again at 17:47:47.
I also attach the corresponding part of /var/log/messags, which shows what the
system was doing between that, and when I pressed the power-button at 17:54:30,
because I could not interact with the system.

So strictly speaking the original problem (does not suspend) is solved, but not
in a very useful way.
Will it be most correct, if I open a new bug on this against 2.6.27?

I will check how my system responds to pm-suspend under 2.6.24.

Thank you for looking into this.

Cheers
Thomas
