Do you have any packaged version of your current binaries? pkg "ffmpeg" pkg "libavcodec" pkg "libavformat" I just ask, because compiling sources could transform our conversation into a compiler switch battle !? ;-)) The second chance is: Can you confirm, that this is working with those packages of 6.10? In general, I don't understand, why this should be an issue with the encoder, while the error messages clearly speaks about an input error, which is usually assigned to a decoder?
