Thanks again for these informations! Two really important logs would still be needed if you can attach them after reproducing the bug :
dmesg < dmesg.log sudo lspci -nnvv > lspci-nnvv.log I don't know if gfxboot can be the cause of this problem but if you have time to test it, don't hesitate to do so. If I was you, I would not test grub2 because it's not completely stable and I really doubt that current grub version is causing the issues you have. Your menu.lst file contains non standard option "ht=on". What happens if you remove this option? Also I notice that your menu.lst shows Debian instead of ubuntu, are you really using ubuntu? Finally, as suggested earlier, does the problem still happens if you remove both "quiet" and "splash"? -- [Intrepid] usplash causing bios warnings when not used with quiet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/235662 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
