After reinstalling the 470 driver, you need to prevent this from happening again. This seems like a good solution: $ cat /etc/apt/preferences.d/nvidia-470-pin.pref Package: *nvidia*470 Pin: version 470.256.02-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 Pin-Priority: 999 Whoever wants to try running the 470 driver on a newer kernel can try: https://github.com/joanbm/nvidia-470xx-linux-mainline -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2155202 Title: Latest Update Breaks Systems Using Nvidia 470 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/+bug/2155202/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
