I realised I had the apport service disabled, so I re-enabled it. killall -USR1 gnome-shell still did not generate a crash report, neither did killall -QUIT gnome-shell.
But killall -ABRT gnome-shell did generate a crash report, so I uploaded it using ubuntu-bug: https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/8dffea99-154c-11f0-b404-fa163ec8ca8c I have Intel graphics in case it's helpful. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089709 Title: Ubuntu 24.04 (X11) sometimes logs in to a black screen with only an X cursor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2089709/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
