> systemd-networkd and NetworkManager are both running at this point, but networkd has control of the ethernet interface
Not according to networkctl: > ebiadmin@workstation-dev-02:~$ networkctl > IDX LINK TYPE OPERATIONAL SETUP > 1 lo loopback carrier unmanaged > 2 ens192 ether routable unmanaged > > 2 links listed. 'unmanaged' indicates that systemd-networkd is not configuring/managing the interface. I am a bit confused by your setup. Can you please clarify the following: 1. Are you *trying* to have mixed use of systemd-networkd and NetworkManager? Or do you just want one of them to manage network (you are starting with ubuntu server, but then installing ubuntu-desktop-minimal, which is a bit odd). 2. Is DNS supposed to be configured statically, or via DHCP? 3. Can you share the netplan config you are trying to apply? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2097769 Title: Installation of ubuntu-desktop-minimal breaks DNS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/2097769/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
