I disabled every single custom gnome shell extension. The only enabled extensions are the ones that come with Ubuntu:
$ gnome-extensions list --enabled ubuntu-appindicat...@ubuntu.com ubuntu-d...@ubuntu.com d...@rastersoft.com It happened again this morning. sudo systemctl restart gdm3 didn't work so I did killall gnome-shell and that worked. I'm not sure if it's helpful or not, but I regularly change monitor configurations. It's a laptop and I frequently connect it to different external monitors or none at all. ** Attachment added: "journal-20250205.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2089709/+attachment/5855102/+files/journal-20250205.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089709 Title: Ubuntu 24.04 (X11) sometimes logs in to a black screen with only an X cursor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2089709/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
