I didn't see any obvious mount failures except for the snap errors, and all the fstab devices show up in df output. Of course, parts of gnome are now snap with 24.04, which has always been flakey for me with Firefox and Chrome and caused me some trepidation when I saw that was happening in 24.04, but on the other hand the failure happened before doing the 24.04 dist upgrade so it seems unlikely to be the root cause. There are a number of dbus errors during the startup of the gdm-wayland- session around line 5730 and after. Then a few dbus services fail to start with org.freedesktop.systemd1 perhaps a primary concern since it shows later as a failed dependency for gnome notifications and also in the failure to start gnome-session interactively.
