What's curious is that when I open the Settings > About page, it only mentions NVIDIA in the "Graphics" field while using Wayland with the newest NVIDIA 550.107.02 drivers installed: https://i.imgur.com/5MpmGMJ.png
However, when I switch to an older NVIDIA graphics driver version (like 535 in this case), the "Graphics" field here mentions Intel only (the integrated GPU), which seems to be the correct functionality on Wayland and resolves the issue: https://i.imgur.com/ezCIwOa.png To confirm, I didn't make any other changes to the system apart from uninstalling the NVIDIA 550 drivers and installing the NVIDIA 535 drivers in its place. As soon as I switch back to the NVIDIA 550 drivers, the above issue occurs again. It might be the case that something is still causing it to run an NVIDIA-only Wayland session on laptops with hybrid graphics with the newest NVIDIA 550.107.02 drivers. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2080282 Title: Wayland is chosen as the default for Nvidia on Jammy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/2080282/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
