I do not have a problem with the snap dev team deciding that this issue has no priority for them. That is absolutely fine. It an individual project, it's their project, nobody tells anyone else what to do with their time. To think that they owe us to fix it would be disrespectful imo.
But I do have a problem with Ubuntu promoting snaps then. I've been promoting and supporting the Ubuntu distribution for years, and creating tools that are compatible with it. When a core tool changes, that's when it becomes *my* time. And the last few years have been particularly annoying. I'm happy with this issue remaining unresolved forever, so long as Ubuntu stops installing snaps by default, and systematically promoting them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575053 Title: Please move the "$HOME/snap" directory to a less obtrusive location To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1575053/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
