Thanks for the video, that helps eliminate a variety of possibilities. Since you say it works ok with Feisty, presumably one of the changes between Feisty and Gutsy caused it.
Could you try booting some intermediate versions, such as Tribe 3 or Tribe 5? Alternatively, or in addition, could you try downgrading your fglrx driver? Use the drivers from ATI's website. There are also some newer fglrx versions available. I'm also curious if the issue is specific to DVI, or if it shows up with VGA as well, and if anything similar happens when using the -ati driver. I don't know if you're able to test either of these, but if so it could be useful data. Please also attach your xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log files, as well as the output from lscpi -vvnn in case we need your video card's pci id. ** Changed in: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- [Gutsy] xorg-driver-fglrx: multihead breaks catastrophicly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
