Phillip, please stop making excuses for this bug. It has nothing to do with being a "power user". I barely even knew what grub was before running into this, so there is no way I could possibly have misconfigured it. The *installer* must be misconfiguring the software then, hence it is still a bug.
Also, this did not happen on upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10, so it is a serious regression. Since you insist that it is not a grub bug, I will change it to the upgrader, for which it is definitely a bug. ** Also affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1289977 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 Update breaks grub, resulting in "error: symbol 'grub_term_highlight_color' not found" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1289977/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
