This bug is fairly old, but it would be good to know if it still exists.
If it does exists, we should identify which Ubuntu releases are
affected.

Also, the v3.10-rc4 kernel is now available.  It would be good to know if it 
also exhibits this bug.  Can someone that has a way to reproduce this bug test 
v3.10-rc4?  It can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.10-rc4-saucy/
