Please, CALM DOWN. If this were as easy to fix, it would have been done by the kernel team. Btw, it's just not true that only Ubuntu has this problem.
The problem has been fixed for the next version of the linux kernel, but you have to unterstand that they cannot just send out a new kernel version via apt-get without testing it a while.
