@Anton Kuleshov, interesting. I'm not running PowerMizer, but toggling the cpu mode from ondemand to powersave using cpufreq, but experience my crashes seem to be independent of if the cpu is adaptive or not. But perhaps my lite use of chrome doesn't thrust the cpu, but certain activities such as vmware does. So I'll try using vmware with nonadaptive/powersave today and see if I can crash.
