I may have spoken too soon. The performance issues have returned, even using the Compiz workarounds. It first started occurring when I setup my email account in Thunderbird 7 and started synchronizing. Then I noticed it when I was streaming a HD video from my NAS drive. Now it's the same as it was before - even when idle, window movement is jerky/laggy.
The symptoms occur on my laptop running an nVidia GeForce GT 330M, and my 2009 iMac with an nVidia 9400 . It does not occur on my desktop AMD A8 PC with an nVidia GTX 460. I have re-installed 11.04 on my iMac, and graphics performance within Compiz is buttery smooth. I will try performing a fresh 11.10 install on my iMac and trying the Compiz 'workaround' fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/861061 Title: compiz 3d performance regression To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/861061/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
