Kalle, maybe a tint part-way between the selection color and the text color.
Fitoschido, whether switches should be used at all is outside the scope of this bug report. The short version is that the general reason to use switches rather than checkmark items (in a menu) or checkboxes (elsewhere) is when the action is momentous enough that a checkmark/checkbox seems too feeble to be controlling it. For example, formatting text as bold or italic should use checkboxes/checkmarks, but turning Ubuntu One sync on/off should use a switch. As for localization, the switch widget should automatically use 〇 and〡whenever the localized versions of OFF and ON are too wide to fit inside. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733857 Title: The ON/OFF status of GtkSwitch elements is hard to tell apart. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
